Once again Vassiliki woke to a light onshore breeze but come the afternoon the cross shore wind powered down the mountain at 20 knots from the right hand side to greet us with again, perfect conditions for Round 7 of the Club Vass Slalom Championship.

With Colin Dixon absent from the race while he continued his karting battle back in Egypt the pressure was on Ollie Scott to further his championship lead.

It was going to be a tough battle as this week Princess Andy Bubble Chambers greeted us with his presence in Vass, and the 28 year old put on a great performance laying down his perfect straight line speed mixed with a tactical racing line and smooth gybes but it was not great enough to over come the sheer talent of WildWinds Niko who we know is fast but struggled in the lighter winds of the previous event. He was back on form this week and lead the race from start to finish to prove he is still in competition for the all important championship win.

PWA Freestyler Jamie Drummond who in training looked ropey on the gybes and come the race looked like a gybing guru. He sailed faultless under the pressure and took a well deserved 3rd position.

With Colin back in Vass and Bubble and Max off to there next Freestyle Tour stop in the canaries the points are all to play for in round 8…. & the forecast is looking great for a super windy event.

1st Niko     (Wildwind)

2nd Andy Bubble Chambers (ClubVass)

3rd Jamie Drummond (Ocean Elements)
